My brother has introduced me to Need for Speed World. It's a free online racing game from EA. There are multiplayer races, but also single player races (which I like), police pursuits and private matches where you can just race your friends. There's also a daily treasure hunt where you drive around collecting gems to earn new car parts. It's been really fun because it's a game that my brother and I can play together.
If anyone is interested in joining us, we're on the Chicane shard (server).
I've done my first drag races. It's nice because the car steers on it own so you don't have to worry about that part. During my first drag race, I chose manual. Big mistake! I didn't know how to shift gears. Here's one going through a theme park. Ethan totally loved that there was a roller coaster in the game.
I've bought my 3rd car. It has much better handling that my other two and I was able to get it up to a class B (it was a class C when I bought it). However, it's much bigger and more balanced so it took me a while to get used to. I'm not used to a car handling this well (my Mazdaspeed 3 is 363 and my Volkswagen Scirocco is only 230). I've finally won my first race after a couple bad finishes. With being class B, I was able to race some new tracks too.
I've gotten up to level 24. Still trying to get used to my big ol' car/truck. While going around getting my gems for the day, I stopped to enjoy some nice views.
Great shots, Carrie! Now that I've been using PDA.net to connect to WoW, and I get next-to-no-lag, I'll have to try playing this game again, using that utility!
