Palm Peak

Postby ukpoppyberry » January 28th, 2019, 10:49 am

I cannot for the life of me find out or remember how to package a sims 4 lot, so here are the photos and a link to the gallery where it is at the moment. This is a 2 bedroomed home on one level with plenty of space for some extra objects in the living area if needed. I have most of the packs apart from the spooky ones.

Very nice, Lisa! I like the Modern style, the colors you've chosen and the décor!! The placement of the pool is really great! :joy:

Thank you very much Melody! I had fun decorating, if only real life decorating was so easy! I love the hills, it makes for a great infinity pool!

Yes, the hills worked so well for your infinity pool! It reminds me of those I've seen on House Hunters!! :uhhuh: :friends:

Oh, that is fantastic! You've done a beautiful job of designing, building, and coordinating the whole thing. WOW!

As soon as I'm at my computer, I'm going to download it and place it in the same world with my desert home (Terrainville). What fun!

I haven't packaged anything to the site for a long time. The Gallery works well. No worries. :joy:

Thank you, Lisa! You've made my day!

Grabbed it just a bit ago, and put it into my (renewed) Terrainville. I added the new hood to my EmptySlots-A world and uploaded it, then put in my new (yet-unfinished) lot and your new lot.

Then I saved both my male and female test Sims, and got upset again that their funds don't get saved with them! (grrr)

Anyway...both R. Kee Tect and Dee Ziner are now in my gallery, and I'm going to post about those in a few minutes.

When I put in Palm Peak, I noticed that you hadn't painted the outside of the pool, so since that one edge shows at the edge of the hill, I put the same rock wall on it as you have on the back of the house. That looked a little dark, and I couldn't find anything else I liked better that seemed to work, so I did something else for my world...pictures below. It's subject to change in my world, of course, as I'm always changing things around.

Those are one of the new fountains from Get Famous, along the edge, with large flower boxes under them, and with the same palm tree you used, made smaller, right at the edge. I thought the fountains echoed the line of the windows in the house pretty well, and made a bit of a privacy screen, too.

R. Kee Tect moved in there (temporarily, at least). He moves around a lot (in a lot of my worlds) :grin)

Thank you very much! So glad you liked it enough to download! I never even noticed that the pool wall wasn't finished, it doesn't seem to want to be painted in my game! I do like those fountains, I almost added on to the patio area, but it was looking a bit packed full. Where you've placed them works really well! :joy:

I love house shows Melody! I'd love to live in some of those amazing homes! I've seen some gorgeous cabin types that look cosy and fun, probably need to have a lotto win to get myself something like that. So I'll make do with inventing beautiful places for my sims and live vicariously through them! :rotfl:

That is a beautiful cabin!

I took some pictures of infinity pools and am amazed by them. This seems so similar to your Sims version:

So I don't forget, you paint the pool (or basements) on the outside, by going underground to see the whole walls. :uhhuh:

I've seen pictures of those cabins before! So lovely! Same here, with building Sims houses and living vicariously.

We have our farmhouse, now, at least. It's pretty traditional, but quite interesting in its history of changes.

Melody...wow! Judi and I were talking about those pools after seeing Lisa's pictures the other day. I don't think I'd be able to handle actually being there by that edge! :wow:

:evillaugh: Me either. I was just looking at that and thinking that I could not go in that pool for fear of falling off that ledge into infinity!! :evillaugh: It would be interesting to see if a test sim would fall off the ledge.... :evillaugh: or not.... :evillaugh:

Thanks Linda! After several failed attempts, I finally had a lightbulb go on and painted the edge in the same tile that is in the pool! :rotfl:

That pool is beautiful, they are rather weird though!

Melody...R. Kee Tect didn't...but then the fountains were there! :rotfl:

I was thinking about that later yesterday, and I think Sims MAY actually be able to sit on the side of the pool there! Will have to give it a try, with the fountains removed!
