The Schwartz House for the Schwartz Family in Willow Ridge

Find the family here: viewtopic.php?f=380&t=3058

The home is my "Blue Pastel". I've made a few minor changes, maybe not enough, but it will be fine.

The original home, which I had created from my TS3 version for TS4:

It seems the decorative item of the pots and pans hanging from the ceiling did not allow for any sim to pass under it. Even though it was set back away from the stove, they were unable to pass under it in order to get to the stove to use it. While I was at it, I also changed the cabinet above the stove to the smaller cabinet and allowing me to move the vent hood a little higher. I did that for cosmetic reasons. It's too bad about the pots and pans though - I really liked that decorative feature ... but if our sims can't access the area beneath it, then ... can't use it. Blehhhh.

UPDATE NOTICE: I've had to remove the decorative pots and pans hanging from the ceiling as it did not allow for sims to pass under it, thus keeping the sims from being able to use the stove. I've fixed that issue by deleting it and now the sims can cook again!! I have replaced the old with the new zip file, so please, if you've dl'd the old, please replace it with the new. Otherwise your Sims are going to get very, very hungry. :yeah:

Agreed!! And what's is the worst part of it, I purposely did not hang it directly over the stove, I hung it part way between the stove and the other counters for sitting at and eating; but they still couldn't get to and use the stove, nor could they use those counters. I should have known those pots and pans would not be able to be used. I really dislike a lot of their designs in this game. The lights for instance - horrid! Most of them are too big and hang way too low!! Things that are supposed to be larger are too small, and things that are supposed to be small are too big. They've really done a terrible job with a lot of items they offer in the game when it comes to scale. :uhhuh:

I agree about the scaling. I won't use most of the lights for exactly those reasons. :uhuh:

Me too. I'll see one I really like and think it would look great in a certain room .... then I place it .... and how horrible it looks because it is a monstrosity - it's so big!! Ridiculous. So I delete it and then try to find the smallest light that doesn't hang down as I can ... (sigh).

:friends: I was just reading what I wrote and I know you know that I didn't mean that "I" can hang down. I meant I try to find the smallest one that doesn't hang down (that I can find) not as I can .... "hang down", that is.   :evillaugh: :evillaugh:

Now I had to go back and read it. I understood it before, but after you wrote your last post, I started laughing when I read it, because I saw what you saw!
