Like they did in Sims 3! It was so over-the-top about the only thing good with it were the pictures and how pretty the snow looked ... but once it started, it never stopped... :evillaugh:

Sims 2 weather was well done, I think. Even though sims would die when getting hailed on or the lightening strikes would catch the trees on fire, and also kill our sims or at the very minimum fry them black. (sigh) It was still better in Sims 2 than in Sims 3. I honestly think they do things terrible with the game on purpose when they have to cave and give what everyone is asking for - so they ruin it for us on purpose. :uhhuh:

I've had that same thought! The only thing I didn't like about the TS2 weather was how the snow would pile up on eaves areas inside a house and on the inside of the window sills and windowpane borders! You couldn't see the eaves when the other roofs were in place, but the snow would make that upside-down V where the eaves would have been (sigh), and the the frost was obviously VERY thick on the insides of the windows! Plus if you didn't have the ceilings in place, your Sims would freeze to death in their beds! Such poor planning EA does! :uhuh:

I set my seasons to 3 days each in TS3, so that I'd get the variety more often. That did, at least, help. :uhhuh:

Oh, that is right! I had forgotten how in the beginning of Sims 2 we didn't actually have ceilings, then when Seasons came out, ceilings were a must - so everything we had built/created prior to that had to have ceilings added or the weather invaded... (roof or no!) and well ... what a mess that was!!

I did the same with the weather, problem with Sims 3 - there was always weather and more rain and hail than anything else .. very few sunny days.... I didn't care for that so much. :uhuh:

I believe so. It is beautiful, isn't it? I got this, along with some other photos taken in Alaska from a FB Buddy who was sharing them at the time. I love when they show up as my background. So peaceful and calming and just beautiful!!

I think that's Long Lake, on the Glenn Hwy., not too far from Palmer. If not, it's a very similar view. ;-) Love the fireweed in the foreground. I miss that flower SO much!
