The Old Bus Shelter - Melody

Postby MelodyOkie » November 1st, 2015, 4:55 pm

The Beginning:

Cindy Bus Stop was planning a move to a new country. She needed to start her world over as she watched the one she was in crumbling before her very eyes. Little did she know the troubles she faced may turn out to be harder than the ones she would be leaving behind.

Cindy searched through ads in the paper and on-line, looking for a place where she could start over. She found, what she thought was perfect. It would cost her all she had, but this home looked perfect for her. The write-up on it was beautiful and it was ready to move in - which is what she needed, plus she had just enough funds to purchase it and move.

Upon arriving, however, she was in total shock. It did not fit the description she had read and it definitely was not move in ready!! She had spent her entire life savings on a home she had not seen, flew around the world to get here and now, what she found, was an old bus stop. It's roof was even gone!!

As the shock of what she found she had actually purchased wore off, and as she went from desperation, to devastation, then to determination; Cindy decided, after what she had left behind, she could pretty well face any challenge at this point. Cindy was going to make a mountain out of a mole hill ... someway, somehow.....

Cindy could not, would not let this set-back destroy her. Loving music and with a beautiful singing voice, she was able to raise enough money to build onto the old bus stop and now has a cozy little stone home to call her own.

As you can see, she decided to pretty much leave the bus stop in tact and pretty much as is. She hopes to make money by keeping it a bus stop.

That is super duper!!! I love how you kept the front porch (old bus shelter) looking like it might have in its early days, with seating and books! Nice! Then the way you echoed the larger porch in the back, on a smaller scale, was another stroke of genius! NICE!!!

Great going, Melody!!! So glad Cindy was able to hang in there and prosper!!! :joy:

What a great idea! Who'd have thought it could still be a bus stop too? Wow, that's going to make getting to work easy too :uhhuh: I love the colours you've chosen, the pink is really lovely against the grey stone colours :joy:
