Willow Ridge Park

Postby MelodyOkie » October 24th, 2015, 11:23 pm

I took the TS3 park I made for Willow Point and did what I had to in order to have a TS4 park.

(I do miss the days when you could have a little park with just a bench, or picnic table and grill. I really do not like having to add those childrens huge ugly items in order to call it a park. Even a swing set would have been nicer. But - we do what we have to.)

That's it for Willow Ridge. I will leave the rest of it open for whatever ... :uhhuh:

You can leave out the children's things if you just want to have a quiet adult park. The red exclamation point will show up on the map saying that the lot is incomplete, but who cares? It still works, and the Sims still visit, no matter what you leave off. :uhhuh:

That said, I still like your TS4 version. So pretty! :joy:

Do you mean the gallery won't let you? Or you just can't, because it's against your principles? I didn't think about the gallery thing.

You could upload it here, though, suggesting that if anyone wants to complete it with the missing stuff, they are free to do so, or they could just use it as is, if they didn't want that stuff in there. I'd take it! ;-) :yeah:

Oh, OK! I understand that. ;-) I'm that way about most things, too, but I think I could leave out the park things...maybe...

If you use bb.showhiddenobjects in the cheat box, then all the items that are in the game (including the ponds) will show up in the catalog when you are in build mode. :yeah: Why they hid them in the first place, I can not understand. Everything you see in the game should be available to you without having to jump through hoops to find them and use them. :uhhuh: (It's the TS4 "Buydebug" type thing.) :uhuh:

Yes, or they could have had a section for extras if they didn't want us trawling through pages of stuff! I don't know about you but I find it really hard to remember all these bb. type cheats

Lisa, I do too!!

Linda, I do too!! But most times I can't remember where it is... :evillaugh:

At least I remember these a little better and how to get around in TS4 now - I went back to TS3 for a bit yesterday and I have forgotten all the cheats, etc. Had to visit Carl's to find out things again. I had forgotten about that nasty Weather Stone and hate where the game throws it down. I've taken to creating a basement (below a basement - because the thing is so tall it sticks out of the ground and the ceiling is too low; requiring another cheat with moveobjects on to place it. So I build a basement below a basement and then delete the upper basement and put the weatherstone below ground.) But, I had forgotten how to build/buy on lot for my Simmie so I wouldn't have to get out, go in, get out, go in, etc. (sigh) Frustrating with that thing!! :uhhuh: These are the kind of stuff I wish they would not put in the game. :yeah:

Oh, and even in TS4 - why do they put things in like ghosts with a patch where you have no choice, if you prefer not to have them?

TS3 - Zombies, Vampires, Witches, Ghosts, Paparazzi, etc., etc., etc. (At least they gave us the option of turning all off; even zombies because we can set the moon phase to single... I do miss the full moon and the new moon, though. Those are the prettiest phases, but then we get the ugly horrid zombies - which are so ridiculous!! :uhuh:

I must admit, I have never enjoyed supernatural creatures in my game, I do enjoy TV or movies with those things, but I kind of like my sims to be real  :evillaugh:

I played with the fairies for a bit, but then the things they did were pretty ridiculous--like going in and out of the fairy houses--and I got tired of the wings flashing all the time. I do like the genies, though! I just make them and play them as regular Sims, utilizing their special abilities. :uhhuh:
