The Dryer Family

Postby MelodyOkie » June 14th, 2015, 8:36 pm

This family loves dryers and loves to dry clothes.... :yeah:

They are available in the Gallery under OkieMelody and this is their zip file:

When they were created for Sims 3 - the Ad had more people in it than the game allowed per family unit.

With the TS3 version, I separated the family out, sending Grandma and Auntie to live together.

And the rest of the family together:

For Sims 4, since there are no toddlers in the game and a baby can not be created in CaS; I've chosen to leave the entire family together as a unit, rather than send Grandma and Auntie to a separate home.
The family as it is today:

I've set my families in this group, in our new empty world and have named it "Washing-Ton".

The Fillers and the Imperials are both families made up of a single mom with 2 children (a boy and a girl); necessarily they need 3 bedrooms. Using existing homes, I've chosen the Ballard, which I created for another family, since it does have 3 bedrooms and fits nicely on the chosen lots. Both families get a copy of the Ballard.

The Westings were able to use my "Blue Pastel":

Now the Dryers are special and I have placed them in the home I created for Pierre (Grandma's house); And I placed the Malik which I had created for Jordon Run, on the final empty lot which will remain empty just in case I do move Grandma and Auntie out.

Wow! I don't think we have a world large enough for all of these... :evillaugh:

I was thinking We need Neighborhood 3 for Community Lots (they need more to do than wash clothes - which, by the way, they can't even do that because we don't have washers and dryers in the game ... :evillaugh: ); Neighborhood 1 (or is it 2), all those kids need a park to play in and that would only leave room for 5 more families (which includes the empty home in Neighborhood 2 (or is it 1).

My favorites of these are:

I didn't choose any of the ads that had lots of people in it ... after the Dryer Family :ohno: ... I can't do anymore of those. :evillaugh:

I was just giggling about the large families doing the laundry together...I agree! That's a tough row to hoe!!! :uhhuh:

I love all the old pictures, and was surprised to find that even some of the new ads DO use families...or at least one person. ;-)

I looked at some vintage ads as well, but also looked at those with new fridges and ovens, vacuums, carpet, etc. I was going to add some to my list, but decided not to just yet. I want to finish Four Corners, first. Then we can decide if we want to fill all the areas with sim families. I'm leaning towards at least having a park for the kiddo's to play, since there are so many of them! :evillaugh:
