Spaced Out - Challenge #3

Postby MelodyOkie » February 27th, 2015, 9:47 pm

I thought I would go ahead and get this set-up for those of us who are continuing through generations for the challenges. This way, when the babies become children, we will know what traits, etc. they will need for the next challenge.

In this Case, and although I'm not particularly interested in this path - but think it might prove to be fun for us all ...
We are heading towards the Astronaut Career - Space Ranger Branch (at least that is where we should end up).

The Astronaut Career is one of the toughest to get promoted in. The Rocket Science Skill, along with Fitness and Logic will be helpful in this career.

Good Traits for Space Rangers

•Active Trait - Helps with getting Energized, which is the ideal mood for the upper levels of the Career.
•An Athletic Trait will also help.

Provide chess table, Telescope and work-out equipment.

I think starting as a child and completing the Aspirations as a child, teen and young adult, will make the career itself much easier to accomplish at the adult level.

Good luck - keep score if you like. Me - I've tired of keeping score. :evillaugh: I'm just going to see if I can accomplish this with my sanity in tact! :evillaugh: :friends:

You can do it!

Glad you did this ahead, because now I can have Michael and Madelyn follow suit with having a child early. :joy:

It will be interesting to see how this challenge works out. I'm not at all interested in this field, but thought it might prove to be fun. I'm thinking a lot larger house with a larger lot might be required for this one. Big enough for a Rocket Ship!! :evillaugh:

I intend to move Michael in with the Meek family, this time, since there is the big suite upstairs. I'll be having the parents move into the downstairs bedroom when I get it all furnished, leaving the extra bedroom upstairs for any progeny of Michael and Madelyn. There are currently two large trees in the side yard, which will make room for a rocketship. I think it will go pretty well with the interesting roofline! If not, well...after the challenge, it can be moved, perhaps!

Me too! I have fun searching for new icons when I make a new forum. It's a challenge in itself, to come up with ones that are free to use for non-commercial purposes! :uhhuh:

I thought I was going to use one of Michael's mother's teen siblings to start this off. However, since it has to start with a child, I think I'll get Derek (Michelle's twin) married off, or maybe Timmy, the male twin of the next step down in her family. Then I can just have fun with the family for a bit until the child is born and gets into the aspiration and goes on from there!

I think I planned Timmy to go into the new science career, so I might have him do that, while waiting for a baby to be born. I have to find him a wife, though...hmmm...

Did I do that? I'm sorry - I didn't mean it. You can start at any age level you want to, Linda.

I think starting as a child and completing the Aspirations as a child, teen and young adult, will make the career itself much easier to accomplish at the adult level. (I don't know if it did or not - maybe it did for me, but who knows. You could start at Teen or Young Adult - however old your Sim is you wanted to use and then we could see if it makes a difference starting with a child like I did, or not. It's totally up to you where you want to start in this challenge.) :uhhuh: :friends:

It's OK either way. At least I'll be using relatives. :uhhuh: I'll decide when I get into the game again.

I still need to make a couple more things for Patty, for her TS2 Amish neighborhood. I should be able to get those done today, and then I'll decide who's going to be spaced out!
