Commonality

Postby lindawing » February 19th, 2018, 6:22 am

See if you can figure out what these seven words all have in common.

1. Banana
2. Dresser
3. Grammar
4. Potato
5. Revive
6. Uneven
7. Assess

I'm pretty sure I've shared this before, but just in case you don't remember what the commonality is, let me know, and I'll provide the answer. ;-)

All I can think is they all have 2 of the same letters in, otherwise I don't have a clue :rotfl:

Hmmmm - Once upon a time, there was a banana and a potato that were on top of a dresser. There were a few of us that had not eaten and as I tried to assess the situation and divide the banana and the potato on top of the dresser evenly, I slipped and fell and knocked myself out. The others, ate up all of the banana and the potato, because they could not figure out how to divide them evenly to include me, so they waited until the banana and the potato were all gone before reviving me. My grammar was not good when I found out they did not revive me so I could share some of the banana and the potato from the top of the dresser because they couldn't figure out how to divide it without it being uneven. I had to assess the situation...

Giggling...Love the story, but...nope!

All of the words have a common factor. Take off the first letter, add it to the end, turn it around, and it's still the same word.

I prefer Melody's version :rotfl:

I tried that idea, but somehow didn't quite get the removing the first letter thing, very clever!
