This is a public forum. Multiplayer games are great fun, but not everyone can be online at the same time, and many times we just end up playing by ourselves, anyway, using bandwidth, and paying for a server. We have decided to try doing some Round-Robin games, to see how it might work out. Take a look to see what we've come up with. Anyone may add one, at any time.

Oh no! Not frustrated at all! :uhuh: I'm enjoying the map, and having a great time!!! :uhhuh:

I was only really tired last night because of physical things...not mental.

Ready for Third Player

Postby lindawing » November 19th, 2014, 6:40 am

I've completed Lydia's first set of challenges:

1. Build your home on the block of your choice.

I chose one of the green squares.

2. Build a jail on the jail square (I marked it with a sign in case you don't know where the jail goes on the board).

3. Have a sheep of each of the following colors: lime green, yellow, red, orange and black.

Just for Faithy, I also found a jungle (by looking for it in the biome finder, online, and then testing it out on the board map alone), and went and took down one palm tree, brining home several cocoa beans and a few palm saplings. I just made a direct teleport out there (way out to X-1527, Z-2665) to the closest one I could find, and then teleported directly back in without loading the in-between chunks, so the zipped file is still fairly small (just 21.5MB).

Here are some interesting photos I took while looking around the map.

Second Round of Challenges...

(1) Build your home on the block of your choice, if you haven't already done so. Don't forget, whenever you build on a block, stay within your boundaries -- that goes for second floors and basements as well. ;-)

(2) The inside is now shut off from the outside by a dirt wall under the exposed areas underneath. Light up the the fenceposts in town (every 4th post is sufficient), then go under the board in the areas where there is room for monsters to spawn, and light it up sufficiently so that we don't get the TONS of creepers popping out from underneath there that there have been previously. There is plenty of coal in the warehouse. If you need more wood for sticks, there are trees both inside and outside the board (don't forget to replant). Lighting up the inside of the board at board level isn't necessary, unless you really want to.

(3) On the Free Parking lot (clockwise from the jail, on the next corner), create a Repair Shop with an enchantment table and an anvil (there's plenty of iron in the warehouse right now). There are six diamonds in the SHINY chest. You'll need three to make a diamond pick to get some of the obsidian you'll find down in the cavern system that can be reached from -23 67 -180; 37 67 -73; or -19 65 -155. You'll also need two of the diamonds to create the enchantment table. While you're down in the mine, grab enough obsidian for a nether portal, and put it into the MISC chest (don't make the portal...just stash the obsidian). It's not necessary to make the bookshelves to enhance the enchantment table, but you may if you care to.

(4) There seems to be only one pig inside the board. None of the animals that are in, can get out, since I made the retaining wall in a couple of areas, but we need at least one more pig inside. I think we also have just one chicken inside. We need at least one more, for breeding. If you can find two pigs and two chickens already inside, you don't have to go get any more.

(5) However, both black sheep and one of the lime green sheep that I dyed escaped to outside the board before I aded the dirt wall. Please bring them inside. There are plenty of wheat, carrots, and seeds in the chest by the wheat/potato/carrots garden, to lure in the animals. Alternatively, there are four slimeballs in the MISC chest in the warehouse, and plenty of string in the Mob Droppings chest--you can make leads if you'd prefer. Also, please dye two sheep purple and two sheep light blue. There are plenty of sheep inside already, to do that, or you may bring in a few more--up to you. BTW--any color sheep may be dyed at any time--you don't need white sheep. There are a lot of light-grey and a couple of dark-grey sheep running around, but be sure to leave at least a pair of those and a pair of white ones for breeding, as well.

NOTES for 4 & 5: There are gates at each outgoing road, now, but the animals may be stubborn. If you need to punch a temporary hole in the dirt wall under the board, go ahead--just close it up again afterward. With the undersides of the board completely enclosed, the whole board becomes the holding pen for any animals that are there, so pen-building is not necessary. We'll have free-range animals...just in a smaller range.

Linda, I love what you've done. Your house is cute and that jail looks scary, so it's perfect. :joy:
