TS4-Getting Inspiration from Floorplans (Updated 05/13/18)

Postby lindawing » March 16th, 2015, 3:01 am

I've just published a video about how to use floorplans as inspiration for creating new TS4 (or TS2, or TS3) lots, when you get "builder's block."

In the video, I refer to the spreadsheet that you can download here. There's a link to this post, in the description of the video. The spreadsheet can be opened with Microsoft Office or with Open Office. I got the spreadsheet way back in early TS2 days, from someone who posted it at the TS2 forums. I have no idea who that person was, but she shared it openly, so I'm sure she wouldn't mind my sharing it here.

The completed tutorial house may be downloaded from my gallery, by searching for my Origin ID: lindawing.

I've published a tutorial video about this on Grandma's Gone Gaming. The video can be found in my following YouTube Playlist...

Since I created this house, it has changed somewhat, as the needs of the family I "planted" there grew. My Copper Family (Simon, Beverly, their twin daughters Emilee & Isabella, and their infant daughter Samantha) live there. Here's how it looks, now. One change is that the two cops (both chiefs of police, now) have made sure that the neighborhood knows who they are, and they do a lot of work there at home, too.

When I took this picture, I didn't notice the bassinet in the guest bedroom. By the time I finished taking pictures, I had moved the bassinet to the master bedroom. Evidently Miss Samantha was born just before I played the Copper household the last time (over a year ago, i believe).
