The Studio

Thank you Lisa!

I've finally gotten it placed and one of my sims decided to try out the dance bars.

I really am torn between Sims 3 and Sims 4. Sims 3 was just such a fantastic game with the wonderful worlds and creations and so beautiful. Sims 4 .... blehhhh... :evillaugh:

I agree. It would have been nice if they had just focused on redesigning TS3 so it would be less laggy, etc. I suppose that was never going to happen, though...sigh.

I would love it if one day sims 3 would run better, I could totally see myself going back there, the open worlds and the expansions not to mention a world of store content made the game very full for me. If only it didn't take 10 minutes every time you wanted to do any kind of save or start the game up

I don't have the patience to wait. And just to bring the game up - literally takes a good 5 minutes waiting on the launcher first. I guess we could just walk away and grab a cup of tea or coffee, then maybe when we get back, the launcher will be up... then of course another 2 or 3 or more to actually open the game up; then another couple to go into whichever world it is you want to play ... of course you can play that silly seek and find game while you wait on that part ... better than twiddling your thumbs, I guess. AND it take this long regardless of how many of your eps and sps you choose to play. That's a crazy way to do things - advising you that you shouldn't play everything you've payed for and put into the game, but only small bits of it which messes your games up everytime you choose something else. :yeah:
(sigh) :ohno:

Before David lost his job and everything changed financially, I would probably simply have upgraded to a better computer than what I was able to, after our move, and the game would definitely run better. Perhaps some day I'll still be able to do that, and then go back and fully enjoy what is now the full game. I'd like to have a 27" monitor, also. Mine is the biggest one here, right now, at 21", but my sister's is 27" and is so awesome for games!

I really don't think it would matter, since they've never actually fixed the issues in TS3. That is one of the reasons they did this with Origin and gave the option to only play a few at a time (which they recommend). The glitches in the last few eps were the worst - with Island Paradise, Into the Future; even the glitches in Seasons and especially in Supernatural and in University ... those were never resolved; so regardless of how wonderful your computer is or how many bells and whistles you have ... nothing will matter if the game has poor programming with errors that were never addressed. :friends:

That's really true...sigh. Some of the lag might be sorted out by a faster computer, but not the innate problems themselves, which would eventually lead to game breakdowns.
