A New Start - Part II?

Postby MelodyOkie » March 31st, 2016, 10:22 pm

Yesterday, I decided to bite the bullet and install Sims 2 on the new computer. Done. It's all set-up and good to go.

The best thing about Sims 2 (once you've waited hours upon hours for Origin to dl it and install it) - the fact you don't need Origin anymore!! Not for this - don't even need a cd in the drive! Hoorah!! Too bad that isn't the case for Sims 3 and Sims 4. Sure wish it were. :uhhuh:

At least once a year I try again to get back into my sims. For some reason I still can not build up the enthusiasm I need for Sims 4. Sims 3 is a no go since Origin has hijacked it and I don't have the patience to wait so long just to load the game - if it ever does load.

I've chosen Sims 2 because it loads so quickly and I don't need Origin to play at all. I don't have to go on-line, I don't have to log in ... I just play the game. So tonight I spent a little time trying to get reacquainted with the Best of the Sims games. I had forgotten that at some point in time I had placed some of my own creations into the game and well - Amora!! My Amora to be specific!! Wow! So I created a family to live in my Amora. I have used some of my own clothing for my family as well. (And some of the wallpaper in the home I created as well as some of the flooring.) I am done for the night now, so thought I would post a few pictures. I have got to figure out how to get better quality and larger pictures!!

Check Melody Lane - Sims 2 for the home (it should be there); along with the walls and the clothing for the sims. You won't find this specific family anywhere. I've not ul'd them and they were not created prior to yesterday. I just created them for my own game play. :friends:

Yes, the home is on page 2 of Residentials in the Sims 2 area of Melody Lane and the adult ladies clothing is in the Clothing area (specifically her dress is in formals - after 5 wear). However, I did not see where I remembered to bring my Teen clothing along from the old site. I had shared all of this at Neighborly Sims back in Sims 2 days prior to Sims 3 (as well as during sims 3, but prior to Sims 4) and also from areas at the old site. Not everything was brought over when that one was closed down, though. Some of it was brought over, but not all of it. :friends:

I probably have all of the CC, then. I'm pretty sure I downloaded everything well before the move. I should have the lot, also. I don't know why I didn't notice that it didn't have a download link! I'm so scattered with all the stuff that's been going on.
