Places to find building floor plans

Postby PattyHeart » April 25th, 2014, 12:24 am

Whether building for Sims 2 or Sims 3 there are times when it is a real help to reference floor plans with exterior photos or drawings. So, it may be helpful to start a thread where we can share links to these.

I like these:

http://www.houseplans.com/
This used to be globalhouseplans.com.

http://www.heritagehomesofne.com/homes/floorplans
This is the home plans part of the company Melody listed above for commercial lots.

http://www.antiquehomestyle.com/

http://www.antiquehome.org/House-Plans/
These are not the same site, but MAY be the same people. I'm not sure. I think they have at least some of the same plans, but I didn't check really thoroughly. This is the one I used to use all the time, but the other one looks pretty good, too.

This is new! It's a pinterest thing, so it's probably just re-postings. I don't know exactly how all of that works.

You might find something here, though not everything is shown with plans.

One of the two sites I primarily go to is www.eplans.com. The other was already listed by someone else (www.homeplans.com).

I love these! When Wendy was still alive, we did a whole neighborhood of 50s homes. I built this one, for one. It didn't end up exactly the same, of course, but it was quite similar.

I think I could find that hood and pack it up if you'd like to have it for Sims 2...pretty sure 2...just before we got 3.

I've also built this one:

and this one:

I've built this one in both TS2 and TS4:

The one in TS4 only has one bedroom upstairs...not sure if I did that in TS2 or not. I never make them exactly the same. I just get inspiration and go from there. ;-)

TS4 lends itself extremely well to A-frames!
