Michael Hansen--Tester Extraordinaire

Postby Meadow9259 » March 8th, 2014, 7:04 pm

Per Linda's request, here's the split-off copy of Michael I set up for setting up and testing my lots.

I merged everything his family had in their inventories into his (be warned - I'm a major packrat!). I did, however, sell off almost all the paintings the family made, as the inventory is loading so extremely slowly due to overloading that I've been afraid of crashing. He is also well-developed, skill-wise.

I took a bit more time in the past two days and did a bit of additional development on him - he now has enough of every type of fish to stock ponds with them, more of the assorted collectible items, more unknown seeds, and increased skills in the three he was lacking completely. For some reason he was just about the only one in his family who had no fishing skill, which has been remedied.

He can also upgrade objects on lots prior to release... if anyone paid close attention to the Bistro, you'll see that he upgraded all our video cards for us, along with other tweaks. ;)

Please be nice to him - he's my family heir and I'm known for being extremely overprotective of my Simmies lol. He's Brave, though, so he won't mind us having him shot at with firepits and darts and other traps and chased by not-so-happy mummies when we get to build our tombs. As for testing of Sim Torture Chambers, well, that's what the townies are for! ;)

Inventory contents include:

Tons of every type of harvestable, many of them available in perfect quality.
Several dozen unknown seeds, ranging from common to special.
All the books available for sale, plus a few from opportunities, and a good number written by the Hansens. These are inside of two bookcases located in the family inventory in Buy Mode.
Enough of every type of fish available to stock all of them in ponds.
A goodly number of unprocessed gems, rocks, butterflies, beetles, etc.
105 Omni Plant seeds, courtesy of mother Janet.
(Oh, and several rotten birthday cakes I obtained recently and forgot to throw out. :evillaugh: )

Skills:

(Forgot to grab the exact numbers before I exited the game, of course! *sigh*)

Painting: 10
Fishing: 10
Writing: 10
Charisma: 4
Athletic: 6
Handy: ?
Guitar: ?
Gardening: 10
Cooking: 10
Logic: ?

Traits:

Family-orientated, Brave, Natural Cook, Good, Handy

These are my family heir traits for the Hansens; also, everyone born in the family gets the Family-orientated trait.

Wendy--Yes, I believe everything stays behind, which is why you can use him to stock ponds, etc.

Anything you DON'T want to stay behind, you put in his inventory (or in the family inventory).

Meadow--He's super!!! I've downloaded him and will begin using him, soon! Thank you EVER so much!

You'll probably see all sorts of "current projects" pics of him, from everyone, really soon!!! :uhhuh:

Anyone else have a tester they'd like to contribute?

He's fantastic Meadow I have used him to stock a pond and to grow seeds. Whew! Doesn't that take a long time?! Any tips, ladies, to speed that up, would be welcome. I did fertilize with lobster, as I have read that it was good...? I have also found out that if you leave bubble bath on a lot it will remain when the Sim is evicted as does the vegetation. I just need to test a book out now. Thanks so much, Meadow. :foryou:

Not being a player, I have only just noticed this. After adding a Sim to plant some seeds and then evicting the Sim, the whole lot had depreciated by quite a large amount. I then replaced the bits that were likely to go wrong--cooker, fridge, loo, bath, etc., and still the lot came out cheaper. So that is going to be very handy for starter lots I think.

I wondered if we could depreciate a lot in TS3 but I hadn't checked it out yet. Thanks, Wendy! ;-)
