Squirreltopia

Postby psychedelicsim » February 21st, 2015, 5:49 pm

I got an e-mail a couple days ago about new YouTube videos on my favorite channels. In it was one by Angel from a game called Squirreltopia. I watched her video to see what the game was all about. OMG, the squirrels are so cute! It reminds me of one of those old school side-scroll Super Mario games.

I decided to buy it ($1.99 on sale, originally $3.99) and e-mail the developers to see if I could post some videos on YouTube featuring my gameplay. They e-mailed me right back and said definitely yes! They also included 4 free game codes. Since I hadn't bought the game yet, I used one for myself. Angel had also gotten some free game codes and passed them out to her friends that she's been making videos with. :joy:

If anyone is interested, I have 3 free game codes if you would like one of them. Just send me a PM. It's downloaded through Steam, but is a very small set of files (slightly larger than Terraria). As far as I know it can be played with Steam offline, but I have not tried this yet.

Anyways, it looks like a fun, cute little game if anyone wants to try it out. I'll share some videos soon.

Angel posted another Squirreltopia video today.

I played for a little while today and made a good video out of it. Jacob giggled through the whole thing. :evillaugh: The game is very cute, fun and addictive, but so frustrating! I got the Squirrelicide achievement in Steam for killing over 100 squirrels. :rotfl:

That was so cute! I only watched a small part of Angel's video (language), but watched yours all the way through. Jacob was so cute being there with you! Loved it! I'll be letting Judi know about this game. I know her boys would love to play it!!! Me, too, but I can't do steam.

If you find out you CAN play it offline, be sure to let me know. I could get Judi to download it for me, probably.

Having Jacob giggling there beside me made it so much more fun! Oh, and thank you for reminding me about that acorn. I'll go back and get it from the first level. ;-)

I'll send you 2 of the free codes. I know you all will love it! I checked and you are able to play the game with Steam offline. :joy:

I removed that comment, but evidently you still saw it! I wonder why that happens. After I thought about it, I didn't want to sound critical! I'm sorry! I just happened to see Angel play that part, and realized what you have to do. You have to bounce on the jump thing and go backward to it.

Also, on the special thing in level 2, you have to fall-run down to the secret door along the side of that column, where the "mario disc" is. I'm sure it's some sort of a power up. :uhhuh:

No worries. I'm always happy for the help. :friends:

I need to think less and just play Squirreltopia. I think that's what my problem was. I was thinking to much about my next move. I want to go back through the first 2 levels to see what I missed!

Aren't they? It breaks my heart that I end up killing so many of them. :rotfl:

I still have one free game code if anyone wants it. Just let me know!
