Wow! Pretty pictures! We'll be getting some of that here in VA. It's supposed to start around 6:00 this evening and not stop until tomorrow afternoon. The current accumulation estimate is 12-16 inches.

Oh, hooray! Your avatar is working! Did Carrie operate on it, or did the resize I made actually work but I didn't know it?

We totally got a miss on the snow we were supposed to get last night, though we did get winds, which died again before 8 this morning, but now they've updated our forecast to 30% chance of a windy, snowy night tonight...sigh.

I'm SO over with this winter!

Yes, lambie is back up & wiggling her tail & batting her eyelashes! What would we do without Carrie??? It's like I said before, I have no idea who originally made that lamb but it's become my trademark... :-)

And Linda? I'm with you in that I'm SO over winter!!!! The snow's been here 2 day's, now it can go away!

I just reduced the minimum required avatar size and lambie is all good to go now.

It started snowing here in VA at around 5:00 last night and we woke up to this. It's supposed to continue snowing heavily throughout the day at a rate of 1-3" per hour.

14 inches and counting...

It is so quite around here. Not much movement at all. Even Travis is staying home from work!

This is from around our porch out back.

We had a small lull in the storm mid-afternoon. Now the snow has picked up again. We're supposed to get ice and more snow this evening. We could get up to 24 inches by the time all is said and done.

It has stopped snowing for now. We have around 16 inches. Here's the beautiful sunset after a very snowy day!

That's the most snow I've seen at one time, in years, Carrie! I'm glad we didn't get it, here, though actually we NEED it! :nolook:

We haven't gotten snow like this for many years. I think Jack was just a baby the last time we did. The kids went to school 2 hours late only one day last year and that was it. This year, they've missed about 2 weeks of school. They have another day off today and I'm sure they'll be going late on Monday. I'm just thankful we didn't lose power!
