I've always been afraid of electric blankets. I think Mom and Dad had one when I was a child and we didn't have heat, so at night it was piles and piles of blankets for us in the winter. I don't like those electric adjustable beds either. Lightening storms. I don't want to be sleeping under or on something with wires during a lightening storm.... :yeah:

Many years ago, when they were popular, we had one of those waterbeds. And those have electric heaters, you know. Well we thought it had just gone out. Anyway, when we decided to switch back to just a regular bed and while dismantling this thing - the heater had not just gone out - it had shorted out! Melted that rubber mattress holding all that water - where it had shorted was all blackened - even burnt through the wood of the bed. How we did not get electrocuted - I can only praise God for protecting us!! Anyway - this is why I don't want any wires or anything electric near me when I am sleeping ... Just don't trust them... :uhhuh:

I do wish I didn't have to have an electric blanket, but I just get so cold, I can't warm up without one, I will be happier when the blanket is gone for summer, but during winter it's my saviour :rotfl:

It was in the 60s here yesterday. Now we have wind gusts of 50 mph and below zero temperatures. Thankfully it will be back in the 60s this weekend! :uhhuh:

We've had a wonderfully melty day! Woot! It was up to 55 at one time! Oh, wow! I just looked again, and it's 59 right now, at 6:06 PM!!!

They are still saying down to about 32 again for tomorrow, though, then back up to the 40s again, with a snowstorm about a week out! I sure hope the weather fools them completely, this time, and just goes ahead and stays warm!

Yay for warm weather! :joy:

Unfortunately, ours is going to be short lived. They're calling for snow on Sunday night and Monday. :wow:

We are having a gray day with wind (exactly what was called for). They still think it will get up to almost 50, but the wind is making it feel about 10 degrees colder than it really is. Right now it's 41 and evidently feels about like 31. We're supposed to get snow flurries tonight and tomorrow...sigh.

I have the windows open right now and I totally love it. I really don't like that it's supposed to be snowing in the next couple of days. :ohno:

We had some gorgeous sun last week, now back to dull grey weather, hoping spring comes back some time soon for us all ;-)
