Melody's Craftiness

This public forum is expressly for sharing things we like to do when we're not playing computer games. Some of us cross stitch. Some knit. Some crochet. Some do all of those, and more! What do YOU do in your spare time?

When we had arts & crafts class in school, I loved knitting so much and was always the first one to finish the project (same as you, watching shows and knitting). And I'm the same, I can't just sit and watch tv -> so right now I usually eat while i watch shows xD, but I do want to pick up some stuff and a knitting book so I could start with that again.

The knitting helps stop the snacking during the shows. I got into a really bad habit of snacking with my husband whenever we sat down to watch a show. Sometimes, though - I do both. I snack first, knit later. :evillaugh: I hope to cut out the snacking altogether. :uhhuh:

I had posted this elsewhere because I forgot about our "Craftiness". As you can see, I saw it and have deleted the following from where I had posted it and moved it here. I hope I can find it again when I think about it.

I can not remember where we were talking about the poncho I was knitting. It was supposed to be "easy" and I found the directions for it were not so easy to follow and may even be written up incorrectly. Meanwhile it didn't turn out so well and I layed it aside and just didn't feel like knitting anymore. Well, I couldn't bring myself to waste all that yarn, so I am unravelling it and will try again.

Linda - at some point, I may post some information on the directions, etc. and maybe you could give me some pointers as to what I am misunderstanding about it which will help me figure out where I went wrong and maybe, just maybe I can actually complete my poncho?

Wonder where I posted about it in the first place? Also, I wonder where I posted the picture when I completed my first Afghan, that I did for Terry? If I can figure out this Poncho, I have supplies waiting for me to do an afghan for me.

Sure wish I could remember where I put things .... :yeah:

You posted in my post about the scarf and hat (now ruined) I made for my sister-in-law. Oops...ummm...no...it wasn't there! Now I have lost it, too!

Anyway...I do know what you're talking about, and if you would scan that pattern and then take a picture of what you've done so far, I might be able to help. It's worth a try!

Thank you Linda! I'll do that once I've finished unraveling it and then start on it again. :joy:
